What May Be Submitted?
Editors will consider ideas and partially or fully completed works on their individual merits, providing that they fall within the various publishing categories outlined on the Categories page. Completed works are preferred, but an editor will work with an author to ensure the highest standards, offering advice and recommendations as appropriate, at any stage of the writing process once an idea of work has been confirmed as appropriate and desirable. Works offered should be not less than five thousand and not more than twenty thousand words in length, previously unpublished and original. Works which have been submitted to other publishers may also be considered for publication, depending on the Rights available and the quality of the work.
Manuscripts will only be considered if they are written in English and should have no typographical or layout markings other than appropriate paragraph breaks.
When Should Works Be Submitted?
It is recommended that authors submit their manuscript for consideration once they have edited the work to the best of their ability or resources. A completed work which requires little or no editorial assistance, advice or alteration will receive a faster reply than one which requires further work.
Completed works may be submitted at any time for consideration by an editor following confirmation that the work is suitable for consideration. Manuscripts sent in for consideration without prior consultation will also be read and assessed in the order in which they are received, once all previously notified or approved submissions have been cleared.
